CATT training in Cairo
We are thrilled that as we write this news update (end October 2025) CATT training is happening for the first time in Cairo, at the Palestinian Embassy. So our plan to put something in place for Gazan children, many of whom are refugees there, is finally becoming reality and the timing couldn’t be better. The aim is to train people who will be able to go into Gaza when the security situation permits, to begin the process of healing all those shattered minds. Our strengthening partnership with the SAMS Foundation has made this happen, as well as invaluable local contacts.
In addition, since the summer we have delivered in-person courses in Aleppo and Damascus, an online course for counsellors and mental health staff in Nigeria, and our new Ugandan trainers have trained people working for Kampala Capital City Authority. So it’s been a busy Autumn with a great team effort. We are so grateful to all our volunteers, supporters and the dedicated trainers who are at the heart of our work.
Our Annual Report and Accounts have just been published and you can find them here if you want to read about what we achieved in the last financial year. There has been so much turmoil, but we are doing all we can to address the trauma of children caught up in conflict across the world. Remember: We cannot change what has happened to these children, but we can – and do – change what happens next. By healing young minds, we give them another chance at life.
